Three panes of glass for the lowest heat loss and the quietest rooms. A++ rated triple glazing in uPVC or aluminium frames.
Triple glazing adds a third pane of glass and a second gas-filled cavity to a window, cutting heat loss through the glass by around a third compared with A-rated double glazing and noticeably reducing outside noise. Hewitts Home Renovations supplies and fits triple glazed windows and doors in uPVC and aluminium frames across our five counties.
Triple glazing makes the most difference in north-facing rooms, bedrooms facing busy roads or railway lines, homes near flight paths, and new extensions or renovations aiming for the highest energy performance. It also virtually eliminates the cold-radiating feeling you get sitting near a double glazed window on a winter evening.
Our triple glazed units are 36mm or 44mm thick with two low-emissivity coatings, argon or krypton gas fill and warm-edge spacers, achieving an A++ Window Energy Rating. They are fitted in the same Liniar uPVC or thermally broken aluminium frames as our double glazing, so you can mix double and triple glazing around the house if you only want it in certain rooms.
Triple glazing costs around 15 to 25 per cent more than double glazing. We will always give you an honest view on whether it is worth it for your home rather than upselling it everywhere.
