Hewitts Home Renovations is a local double glazing company serving Kettering and the villages around it, including Barton Seagrave, Burton Latimer, Desborough, Rothwell, Broughton. We supply and fit A-rated uPVC and aluminium double glazed windows and doors, and we repair existing double glazing including misted units, broken hinges and failed locks.
Many homes in Kettering still have first-generation double glazing from the 1980s and 90s. With Victorian and Edwardian stone and brick terraces near the town centre, 1960s and 70s homes on the Ise Lodge estate, and new-build homes at Hanwood Park and Barton Seagrave, we see a lot of windows that have misted up, dropped on their hinges or simply lost their thermal performance. Replacing them with modern A-rated units typically makes a noticeable difference to comfort and heating bills.
We are not a national chain. There is no commission-driven salesperson, no inflated price followed by a fake discount, and no pressure to sign on the night. Jamie visits your Kettering home, measures up, talks through the options and sends you a written quote. All installations are covered by a 10-year guarantee and FENSA-compliant building regulations paperwork.

Modern uPVC double glazing should last 25 to 35 years. The sealed glass units themselves usually last 15 to 25 years before they may start to mist, and those can be replaced individually without changing the frame.
