Side-hung, top-hung and flush casement windows in uPVC or aluminium. Versatile, secure and A-rated as standard.
Casement windows are hinged at the side or top and open outwards, giving excellent ventilation, easy cleaning and a clear view. They are by far the most common window style in Britain and suit everything from 1930s semis to new-build estates. Hewitts Home Renovations supplies and fits casement windows in uPVC and aluminium across our five counties.
Casements can be configured almost any way you like: single openers, pairs, fixed panes with openers either side, top-hung fanlights above fixed lights, and combinations for wide openings. Egress hinges give a wide opening for fire escape in bedrooms, and restrictors can be fitted for child safety.
For period homes and cottages we fit flush casement windows, where the opening sash sits flush with the frame like a traditional timber window, rather than standing proud. Flush casements in a woodgrain or heritage colour are hard to tell from painted timber at a glance and are increasingly accepted in conservation areas.
Every casement window is A-rated as standard, fitted with shootbolt locking, lockable handles and hinge protectors, and covered by our 10-year guarantee.

A casement window is hinged at the side or top and opens outwards. It is the most common window style in the UK and is available in uPVC, aluminium and timber.
A flush casement has an opening sash that sits flat within the frame rather than overlapping it. It replicates the look of a traditional timber window and is popular for period properties and cottages.

Standard casements open outwards. If you need inward opening for cleaning or restricted external space, a tilt and turn window is the better choice and we fit those too.
