Replacement bay and bow windows that carry the load properly, keep the room warm and look right on the house.
Bay windows are a defining feature of Victorian, Edwardian and 1930s homes across our area, and replacing them properly takes more care than a flat window. The bay often carries the weight of the roof or the floor above, so the new frames must be reinforced and supported with structural bay poles and jacks. Hewitts Home Renovations replaces bay and bow windows in uPVC and aluminium with the structural work done correctly.
We survey every bay to check what is above it and how it is supported, then specify reinforced frames, load-bearing bay poles and, where needed, a new lintel or bay roof. We can replace or re-cover the bay roof, fit new insulated bay boards below the window and finish the internal reveals.
Square, splayed (angled) and box bays are all catered for, as are curved bow windows made up of several narrow panes. Choose from casement, flush casement or sliding sash styles, in any colour, with A-rated double or triple glazing.
Bay window replacement typically takes one to two days and is covered by our 10-year guarantee, including the structural elements.
